How Does Desire Become Love?

Men are naturally attracted to women with big busts and long hair. Of course, this is something everyone knows. But the question still stands: what draws people to each other? According to Dr. Steven Platek, a scientist, and psychologist, also the chief researcher at Georgia Gwinnett College, men’s brains are hardwired in a way that causes them to be attracted to women with curves. This might be because women with big hips have more babies. But this basic pull could be deceiving.

Sexual desire and what makes it happen are often complicated and changeable. But in the general population, most people can feel physical desire. This can mean that you are straight, bisexual, or pansexual. But this relies on the type of appeal and the person going through it. So even though homosexuality and bisexuality may have some things in common, they are different.

Most of the time, romantic love is based on personality features and good things. For instance, you might feel drawn to someone if they seem interesting, fun, or safe. You might even get stomach butterflies or sweaty hands. You may even feel compelled to touch someone when drawn to someone.

A lust-based friendship doesn’t have to last, though. Even love can come from it. But a hot relationship can quickly end if you get interested in someone else. On the other hand, a love relationship is more likely to last if both people have similar goals and values. This makes a relationship based on lust different from one based on love.

Sexual Attraction and Relationships

Even though lust can lead to relationships, true love isn’t a high-stakes game and needs to be cared for. Sexual love can lead to a loving relationship, but it will take time to become a romantic partnership. Before sexual attraction can lead to a long-term connection, the two people need a solid mental bond.

Some signs of sexual desire are more evident than others. For instance, a guy might say or do something about sex or sexual closeness by mistake while talking to you. Or, he might move around when he talks about you with people he knows. These are indications that he is attracted to you even though he is unaware of his feelings.

Some people either don’t feel sexual desire or feel it very little. Likewise, those who aren’t sexually attracted to others may never feel sexual desire. But this is nothing to worry about. You don’t have to feel wrong about being asexual or fear that it will ruin your relationships.
